I understand that selling a business you have invested a large portion of your life in is a big decision.
Nobody knows how to run your company better than you. Nobody has put in more blood and sweat through economic cycles to get it to where it is today. I will work with and learn from you during the transition period.
My primary goal for this transaction is to continue your business with no immediate changes.
MY INVESTMENT CRITERIA
Most investors use this space to write a long and complicated list of criteria for each of their investments.
I only have three:
1. Transaction Size: 20%–100% shareholding available
2. Scale: Minimum ZAR 20 million annual revenue
3. Earnings Quality: Proven net profit of at least ZAR 5 million for 3+ consecutive years
BUSINESS MODELS I LIKE
I’m interested in your company if you define it as B2B - meaning your primary customers are other businesses. My preference is to buy into a business model where your customers subscribe to purchase your services on a repeat basis.
The following are my preferred B2B industries where I’ve found customers subscribe to service contracts:
Financial Services
Property Management
ICT
Janitorial & Office Cleaning
Exterminating & Pest Control
Landscaping
Plumbing Services
SaaS & Tech-Enabled Services
Waste Management
Security - Monitoring and Surveillance
Healthcare Services & Private Practices
Professional Employer Organizations
Trade Show & Event Planning
Manufacturing w/ Distribution
However, these industries are preferences not requirements.
The only requirements I have are the three I listed above.
